how is an image attached to a forum question.



is images embedded in the forum, or are they a web link?

An attached image is uploaded in a database linked to the forum.



A web link to an image can be put directly, as text, in the body of a post.

is there a way to upload from a web site/server/photo thingy such as picassa, icloud gallery etc?

I've worked that to show an image, use img code in the menus above and paste the image web link in its range i.e. {img}https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/H4P3stXdG……{/img}
various photo album - image servers/hosters are available - Ive been using the free google picassa.
google picassa has changed to google photos ( as at august 2017) now allows for image linking

since picassa photo is no longer, and google photos seem too difficult to share, I have moved over to Flickr

Flickr has simple share button that provides a link that can be copied pasted into this forum.
